Hello My Name Is...
Mrs. Magnotta

I teach 6th grade reading and writing along with 7th grade writing. I have been teaching since January of 2013 at AGS. I received my post high school education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. Post U of I, I spent two years participating in a volunteer program out of Chicago, called Amate House. During those two years, I worked as a classroom aide and a second grade teacher. In all, I taught second grade at Our Lady of Tepeyac for five years. I really enjoyed the small school setting (even in the midst of the big city) and being more in community with my co-workers. Similarly, the closeness of the staff at AGS was one thing that initially drew me to want to work there. I feel that having a good camaraderie with my co-workers helps me to be a better teacher in my own classroom.
